Today’s Photo Tidbit: How to extend and fill your photo canvas.
I recently found a photo of a fern I had taken a few years ago that I really liked. I thought the photo would be a stronger composition if it had more canvas on the top of the photo. I imported the photo to Photoshop and attempted to extend and fill the canvas as I have done in the past. Typically, this is a fairly easy process. Unfortunately, I hadn’t paid attention when Photoshop added several updates this year. The result was that I was unable to extend and fill the canvas as I had done in the past.
It took a while to figure out the new process since the update. Although once you extend and fill the canvas with the new process a couple of times, it’s really easy! Give it a try.
Attached are directions that will take you through the process step by step.
